<p>The <a href="http://denver.sbnation.com/colorado-buffaloes/2012/7/24/3181303/pac-12-media-day-predictions-quotes-news">2012 Pac-12 Media Day</a> is underway and the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/colorado-buffaloes">Colorado Buffaloes</a> have already shared a good deal of insight about how the roster might shake out heading into next season. Head coach Jon Embree spoke with the media, discussing a variety of topics and narrowing the quarterback competition down to <a href="http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/41525/on-stage-colorado-2">three underclassmen:</a></p>
<blockquote>We have three kids we know for sure involved in the competition. Thought Connor Wood had a good spring. Wood, Jordan Webb and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/113253/nick-hirschman">Nick Hirschman</a> are the main three competing. Have to wait and see on Shane Dillon.</blockquote>
<p>With graduating senior QB <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/35782/tyler-hansen">Tyler Hansen</a> now on the Cincinnati Bengals roster as an undrafted free agent, the Buffaloes are looking for the next quarterback to take his place and fill in for his 5705 career passing yards.</p>

<p>On Tuesday, media members released their <a href="http://www.pac-12.org/Football/Tabid/1452/Article/158733/USC-Picked-to-Win-Pac-12-in-Media-Poll.aspx" target="_blank">predictions for the 2012 Pac-12 Conference football season</a> during media day festivities, and the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/usc-trojans">USC Trojans</a> are the favorite to emerge as Pac-12 champions in 2012. Unfortunately, the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/colorado-buffaloes">Colorado Buffaloes</a> have been picked to finish at the bottom of the South Division and the Buffs also received the lowest vote total of any team in the conference. Colorado has set its sights higher than a last-place finish, and according to the media they will be looking to jump the fifth-place Arizona State Sun Devils and fourth-place <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/arizona-wildcats">Arizona Wildcats</a> in the South Division. </p>
