The Denver Nuggets will know which seed they will have in the 2012 NBA Playoffs Western Conference scrum after Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Denver Nuggets have one game left in the regular season: a road contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Win that game and the Nuggets are the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. If that happens, the team will play the No. 3 seed Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. The 2012 NBA Playoff schedule and bracket came out on Thursday:

Sunday games will be Bos-Atl, Utah-SA, LAC-Mem and TBD-vs-Lakers. Saturday: TBD-vs-Chi, TBD-vs-Mia, TBD-vs-OKC, Orl-Ind.

However, if the Nuggets lose and the Dallas Mavericks win on Thursday, Denver falls back to No. 7 and will face the Oklahoma City Thunder, whom they defeated on Wednesday night but lost to in the first round last year. If both teams lose, the Nuggets still take the No. 6 seed because they will still be one win ahead of Dallas.
