On Thursday, Denver Broncos head coach John Fox spoke to the media, taking several questions about Tim Tebow (and none of those were any different from what we've heard over the last few weeks). Fox also addressed the recent GQ article that quoted Brady Quinn from several months ago. This won't affect Brady's future with the team:

Of course, that doesn't really say that much. The team might have already decided to move on from Quinn as a backup; however, publicly the Broncos have said that Quinn isn't out of the equation to return.

What we do know is that the Broncos need two more quarterbacks for training camp, which is five months away. Free agency starts on March 13 and the NFL Draft takes place April 26-28. A veteran and a rookie are expected to join the team, and good money is on Brady Quinn not being the backup.

In what is somehow considered breaking news by some places, Brady Quinn has clarified his remarks in a GQ article that is an oral history of Tim Tebow's 2011 season. After the Broncos defeated the Bears, 13-10, Quinn apparently said the following:

Quinn: We've had a lot of, I guess, luck, to put it simply.

It's a one-liner that is presented without much context. That sent people into overreaction -- because, you know, it deals with Tim Tebow -- and sent Brady Quinn to Twitter to clarify that comment:

The comments attributed to me in a recent magazine article are in NO WAY reflective of my opinion of Tim and the Broncos. Tim deserves a lot of credit for our success and I'm happy for him and what he accomplished. Most importantly, he is a great teammate. That interview was conducted three months ago, and the resulting story was a completely inaccurate portrayal of my comments. I have addressed my disappointment with the writer and have reached out to Tim to clear this up. I apologize to anyone who feels I was trying to take anything away from our Team's or Tim's success this season.

Please ... can we get back to the real issue at hand: Brady Quinn has billboard envy (or is that also misrepresented in the article?).

GQ has just released an oral history of Tim Tebow's 2011 season, calling it "The Year of Magical Stinking." At the start of the piece, we learn that Brady Quin has what we can term "billboard envy." Remember, a Tim Tebow billboard went up early in the season, asking coach John Fox to sit Kyle Orton for Tim Tebow. Quinn never got a billboard, but he certainly wishes he did have one:

Early in the season, there was a game when Kyle [Orton] got hurt and the coaches were calling for me to go in, but Kyle got up and finished the game out. So I was the second-string guy. Then, a few weeks later, they decided to put Tim in. I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that. Just 'cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I didn't have any billboards. That would have been nice.

Because someone would have realized before the playoffs that Brady Quinn was, in fact, on the Denver Broncos roster? That he would have been fined by the other quarterbacks for that, like Tebow was?
