After opening Pac-12 play with three consecutive wins in Boulder, the Colorado Buffaloes were brought back to reality on their trip to the Bay Area. Following a hard-fought loss to Cal in the opening game of this road trip, the Buffs were dominated in every facet of the game in their 84-64 loss to Stanford.

Prior to this matchup, Colorado had gone 11 straight games without allowing its opponent to reach 70 points. However, the Buffaloes could find no answer for the Stanford offense, which shot 52.9% from the field. Freshman guard Chasson Randle led the way with 18 points on 6/11 shooting, while Josh Huestis came off the bench to score 13 points and block five shots in the win.

Andre Roberson led the way for CU in the loss, scoring 15 points. However, Roberson wasn't productive on the glass, pulling down a season-low four rebounds. Austin Dufault added 14 points, while Spencer Dinwiddie scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds.

After a tough loss to Cal in the opening game of its first Pac-12 road trip, the Colorado Buffaloes knew they had to find a way to bounce back against Stanford. Despite an efficient effort on the offensive end, the Buffs trail 39-33 after the opening 20 minutes in Palo Alto.

Andre Roberson, who has the quickness and length to succeed against the Stanford frontcourt, led the way with 13 points and two rebounds in the opening half. Roberson hit 6/8 shots from the field and also grabbed two rebounds. Austin Dufault was the only other player to score in double-figures, as he netted 10 points on 4/6 shooting.

The Colorado Buffaloes brace for a Pac-12 road matchup against the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday.

The Colorado Buffaloes (11-5, 3-1) have opened Pac-12 conference play with some strong performances, but Saturday's road matchup against the Pac-12's first place team, the Stanford Cardinal (14-3, 4-1), presents perhaps their toughest challenge yet. Stanford's balanced attack is led by Josh Owens (12.9 points, 6.0 rebounds per game) and and Aaron Bright (12.2 points, 3.5 assists per game), but sophomore Josh Huestis is also coming off the best game of his collegiate career against the Utah Utes. Huestis scored a career-high 13 points and added 10 rebounds against the Utes, and even Stanford head coach Johnny Dawkins called it the forward's best game of his career.

The Buffaloes are coming off a 57 – 50 loss to the California Golden Bears, but have still won seven of their last eight games overall. if the team hopes to pull off the road win on Saturday, they will have to lean heavily on Carlon Brown and sophomore sensation Andre Roberson. As the love for Roberson grows, Colorado fans are looking for new ways to express their appreciation. Here is a wonderful fan-generated post featured at The Ralphie Report that attempts to start a new movement:

I coined this nickname for Andre Roberson because he is a double double machine. Double doubles are a popular hamburger option for popular left coast hamburger chain In-N-Out. It means double meat and double cheese. Animal style is the most famous of the secret menu items for In-N-Out. An animal style burger is the "burger of your choice with hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, a mustard cooked beef patty; add pickle, extra spread, with grilled onions." But really, it's all about the animal fries, which add melted cheese, spread, and grilled onions to their admittedly mediocre regular fries. They are fantastic.

Andre Roberson is also fantastic. An added bonus is that "Animal Style" perfectly describes his dirty, gritty, high energy game. I have gotten Andre to claim #TEAMANIMALSTYLE on the twitter machine, where I chronicle his double doubles on a game by game basis (now at 10 this season! which is a double in and of itself!).
