Sean Williams returned to NBA action for the first time in nearly two years when he played in Monday's Dallas Mavericks game against the Denver Nuggets. He did pretty well for the Mavericks in what was a blowout victory for the Nuggets, scoring 12 points in 11 minutes.

But the rigors of his first game back didn't sit too well with him in the final minutes of the game. Check out the video below.

With 3:25 left on the clock, Williams is on the bench and he vomits on the floor in front of him. Play on the court stops for the mess to be cleaned up. But before we know that is what happens, we see Dirk Nowitzki and others laughing when they are down 19 points. But then we see the towels on the floor and covering noses.

Even Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was having a good time after learning what was happening.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, 115-93, to open the season. The Nuggets held a lead of 33 points late in the third quarter, clearly outclassing Dallas for much of the night.

Ty Lawson dominated the Mavericks from start to finish. He had a game-high 27 points (10-for-15), and finished with four rebounds, four assists and three steals to go with the points. Andre Miller came in off the bench and had an impressive return as a Nugget, scoring 18 points on 6-for-8 shooting. He rounded out his game with five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block.

Al Harrington proved effective off the bench, scoring 12 of his 18 points between the final minutes of the first quarter and the opening minutes of the second.Danilo Gallinari and Arron Afflalo added 15 and 11 points, respectively. Eight of 11 players used in the game played at least 20 minutes, including 30 for Rudy Fernandez and 13 for Corey Brewer.

The Mavericks saw Dirk Nowitzki lead the team with 20 points while the team struggled to reach 42.1 percent from the field. They were outrebounded by the Nuggets, 47-37, as well. Fouls also hurt the Mavericks, sending the Nuggets to the line 34 times (79.4 percent).

The Nuggets return home on Wednesday for a contest against the Utah Jazz at the Pepsi Center.

The Denver Nuggets have looked impressive in their 2011-2012 debut and led by as many 33 points in the third quarter. After three quarters, the Nuggets hold a 97-68 lead over the Dallas Mavericks.

Ty Lawson has continued to be the star of this game, now reaching 25 points in the game. Nene, he of the new five-year contract, has had a quiet game scoring with just eight points through three quarter, but he has pulled down seven boards. Danilo Gallinari is tied with Nene for the team-lead in rebounds, but he has added 15 points.

Greatly helping the Nuggets in this game has been the three-point shooting, hitting 10-of-22 shots, and sinking 17-of-18 free throws. Dallas' shooting, meanwhile, still hasn't improved. They have connected on 41 percent of shots while the Nuggets are at 54 percent.

It is certainly possible that we will see rookie Kenneth Faried make his NBA debut on Monday night.

The Denver Nuggets are halfway to beating the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, but halfway to anything matters little. The Nuggets will need to keep the pressure on and increase their 69-42 halftime lead.

Ty Lawson and Andre Miller combined for 35 points on 14-for-17 shooting. Lawson dropped 21 points to lead all Nuggets scorers while Miller added 14. Miller also pulled down five rebounds, dished the ball out for four assists, stole the ball twice and even blocked a shot.

Al Harrington dominate the end of the first quarter and the start of the second by scoring 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting (2-of-2 on threes). Danilo Gallinari was the only other Nuggets starter to reach double-digit points, adding 10.

After some rough shooting to begin the game, the Nuggets are 57.4 percent from the field. Dallas has struggled to hit 42.1 percent of its shots. Dirk Nowitzki is the leading scorer with 10 points, but he did have a small knee issue at one point in the half. Dallas' bench has just 19 points to the Nuggets' 32.

The Denver Nuggets tipped off the 2011-2012 season against the Dallas Mavericks and point guard Ty Lawson dominated the first quarter. He led the Nuggets to a 32-23 lead at the end of the first quarter. On 4-for-5 shooting, Lawson scored 12 points, sinking two threes and making two free throws.

Danilo Gallinari added eight points and pulled down four boards. Andre Miller and Al Harrington were the only other Nuggets to score for the team so far, adding four and eight points, respectively. Harrington was 3-for-3 from the field, sinking two threes.

Miller replaced Arron Afflalo midway through the quarter, making it two point guards on the court. We should expect to see that often early on in the season. Rudy Fernandez played two minutes in the quarter against his old team after never having stepped on the court for them.

The Mavericks have spread out the scoring as Brendan Haywood leads the team with five points.

Don't expect Shawn Marion's broken left pinky to keep him out of Monday night's contest against the Denver Nuggets. Marion broke the finger during Christmas Day's season-opening game against the Miami Heat. As Marion told the Dallas Morning News after the game:

"It hurts like hell,'' he said. "But I'm a warrior.''

Marion had 12 points and 6 rebounds for the Mavericks before not playing in the fourth quarter of the game. Considering that Marion has injured the finger in the past, this shouldn't affect him too much against the Nugget. However, the Mavericks are an aging team and injuries of this sort might start piling up throughout the season.

The Nuggets will want to come out early and test Marion defensively to find out if he is playing up to speed.

The Denver Nuggets open the 2011-2012 NBA season with a road game against the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks lost on Christmas Day -- can the Nuggets make that two losses in a row for the champions?

The Denver Nuggets, like the majority of the league, begins the 2011-2012 NBA season on Monday after five game took place on Christmas Day. One of the teams that did play on Christmas Day was the team's first opponent, the Dallas Mavericks, who fell to the Miami Heat, 105-94.

It was certainly not the way the defending NBA champions would have liked to open the season, especially since the loss came at home. LeBron James dropped 37 points and Dwyane Wade had 26 points to lead the way to victory. Jason Terry, so instrumental in the Mavericks' playoff run, led the Mavericks with 23 points off the bench. Dirk Nowitzki, NBA Finals MVP, led Dallas starters with 21 points.

The Mavericks were outrebounded, 51-31, and shot 37.8 percent from the field while allowing Miami to hit on 48.7 percent of its shots. The Nuggets will look to disrupt the Mavericks and keep the defending NBA champions reeling from an Opening Day loss.

For the Nuggets, it's time to introduce a starting lineup that will for the first time since 2002 not feature Carmelo Anthony on Opening Night. Stability returned to the Nuggets with the return of Nene and Arron Afflalo, both of who were free agents. They will be part of a starting lineup that features Ty Lawson at point guard, Danilo Gallinari at small forward and Timofey Mozgov at center.

Andre Miller and Rudy Fernandez will serve as the first two men off the bench and act as the "sixth man." Rookies Kenneth Faried, Jordan Hamilton and Julyan Stone will all have a hard time cracking the Denver lineup, but we'll see if George Karl is able to work them into the game at any point.
