Don't count out the San Diego Chargers in the AFC West race just yet. They are now on a three-game winning streak after defeating the Baltimore Ravens, 34-17, on Sunday Night Football. Arguably, the Ravens were the No. 2 team in the NFL entering this week. Had the Denver Broncos taken care of the New England Patriots on Sunday, three of the top teams in league would have been dealt losses, the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the Green Bay Packers early in the day.

The Ravens and Chargers had been tied at seven early in the second period, but San Diego kept increasing its lead over the remaining three quarters of play. Ryan Mathews ran for 90 yards and two touchdowns while his tandem at the position, Mike Tolbert, also cracked the end zone. Philip Rivers threw for 270 yards and a touchdown.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco did find Torrey Smith for a 36-yard touchdown late in the game, but he had two interceptions in the game an was sacked seven times (the Ravens, surprisingly, had zero). Ray Rice was only able to run the ball 10 times for 57 yards.

The 7-7 Chargers visit the Detroit Lions next Saturday, where they hope to avoid the same fate as the Oakland Raiders this week. The Lions defeated the Raiders in the final minute of the game.

The Oakland Raiders couldn't make any ground on the Denver Broncos on Sunday despite a loss by the Tim Tebow-led team on Sunday. The Raiders also lost on Sunday, falling in the final minute of play to the Detroit Lions, 28-27.

With less than eight minutes left in the game, the Raiders had a two-score lead over the Lions, 27-14. The Raiders had scored on a Louis Murphy run, a Carson Palmer touchdown pass, a Sebastian Janikowski field goal and an Aaron Curry touchdown fumble recovery. However, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes in the final five minutes of the game. Titus Young caught a three-yard pass at the 4:59 mark and Calvin Johnson picked up a six-yard touchdown with just 39 seconds left in the game.

However, the Raiders had a chance to kick a field goal at the end of the game. Janikowski set up for a 65-yard field goal, which would have given him sole possession of the longest field goal record (he shares it with Tom Dempsey and Jason Elam at 63 yards). Ndamukong Suh, back from his suspension, blocked it for the victory.

The 7-7 Raiders visit the Kansas City Chiefs, who defeated the now 13-1 Green Bay Packers on Sunday, 19-14.

The Kansas City Chiefs have pulled off what was thought nigh impossible this week: defeating the Green Bay Packers. It was what the Denver Broncos were unable to do earlier in the season when Aaron Rodgers combined for six touchdowns against them. Instead, the Chiefs were able to stop the Packers in a 19-14 victory.

Ryan Succop had put the Chiefs in front, 6-0, at halftime, but it was quickly turned in favor of the Packers in the third quarter. Donald Driver caught an Rodgers touchdown pass midway through the frame, but a third Succop field goal had the Chiefs right back in it.

In the fourth quarter, Succop connected on his fourth field goal and then saw Jackie Battle run for a touchdown several minutes later for the 19-7 lead. They needed that last touchdown since Rodgers ran for an eight-yard touchdown seconds before the two-minute warning.

Rodgers was just 17-of-35 for 235 yards while Kyle Orton had 23 completions on 31 attempts for 299 yards.

The 6-8 Chiefs finish out the season with games against the Oakland Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. They have a slight chance to win the AFC West, but only slight.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers are in a tight contest in Kansas City.

Will the Kansas City Chiefs be able to upset the Green Bay Packers and its 13-0 record? Midway through the game, the Chiefs hold a 6-0 lead over the Packers. Surprisingly, Kyle Orton is outperforming Aaron Rodgers in this game. However, this is Orton's second go at the Packers this season, having lost to them when he was with the Denver Broncos at the start of the season.

Orton is 14-of-19 for 152 yards while Rodgers is 6-of-17 for 59 yards. The Packers have the top scoring offense this season with 35.8 points this season. The Packers will need to make second half adjustments that the Chiefs won't be able to counter to make the comeback.

Ryan Succop has two field goals for the Chiefs while the Packers' Mason Crosby missed his field goal attempt.

It's only a six-point difference in the score, one that the Packers should almost certainly overcome in the second half. But given the history of defending champions not reaching 14-0, the Packers will need to defeat the tide of history, as well.
