<p>The ranks of the undefeated in college basketball have been reduced to one: the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/ohio-st-buckeyes">Ohio St. Buckeyes</a> (21-0). On Wednesday night, the No. 9 <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/byu-cougars">BYU Cougars</a> sent the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/san-diego-st-aztecs">San Diego St. Aztecs</a> (20-1) to their first loss of the season, 71-58. The Aztecs reached No. 4 in both the AP poll and the Coaches poll this past week.</p>
<p><a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/28248/jimmer-fredette">Jimmer Fredette</a> scored 43 points for the Cougars on 14-of-24 shooting (5-of-8 from beyond the arc) and 10-for-11 at the free throw line. He pulled down four boards as well. The second-leading scorer for the Cougars was <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/100700/brandon-davies">Brandon Davies</a>, who scored 14 points.</p>
<p>San Diego State's <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/100718/kawhi-leonard">Kawhi Leonard</a> scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds despite being sick before the game.</p>
<p>The Cougars improved to 20-1 this season and are 6-0 in the conference. Their only loss came back in December to the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/ucla-bruins">UCLA Bruins</a>.</p>

<p>The latest <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/2011/1/24/1953118/ncaa-basketball-rankings-ap-top-25-kansas-ohio-state-san-diego-state">AP Top 25 Poll poll for college basketball</a> came out, and the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/san-diego-st-aztecs">San Diego St. Aztecs</a> moved up from No. 6 to No. 4, remaining undefeated with a 20-0 record. They defeated the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/air-force-falcons">Air Force Falcons</a>, 68-55, last Wednesday before having the weekend off. On Wednesday, they travel to the No. 9 <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/byu-cougars">BYU Cougars</a> (19-1). BYU's Jimmer Fredette will give his best to send the Aztecs from the ranks of the undefeated. The Cougars remained in the same spot for a second week in a row after beating the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/tcu-horned-frogs">TCU Horned Frogs</a> and the Colorado Sta. Rams last week.</p>
<p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/ohio-st-buckeyes">Ohio St. Buckeyes</a> (20-0) are the only other undefeated team remaining, and they retained their No. 1 ranking in the AP Poll. After a close win against No. 20 Illinois, the Buckeyes face the No. 12 <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/purdue-boilermakers">Purdue Boilermakers</a> on Tuesday night. The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/pittsburgh-panthers">Pittsburgh Panthers</a> and the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/duke-blue-devils">Duke Blue Devils</a> moved to No. 2 and No. 3, each receiving a first-place vote. The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/connecticut-huskies">Connecticut Huskies</a> finished at No. 5.</p>
<p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/kansas-jayhawks">Kansas Jayhawks</a> dropped from No. 2 to No. 6 following their loss to the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/texas-longhorns">Texas Longhorns</a> on Saturday. Texas moved from No. 10 to No. 7. The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/syracuse-orange">Syracuse Orange</a> dropped from No. 3 to No. 9 following their loss to the now No. 7 <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/villanova-wildcats">Villanova Wildcats</a>.</p>
<p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/colorado-buffaloes">Colorado Buffaloes</a> lost games to the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/nebraska-cornhuskers">Nebraska Cornhuskers</a> and the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/oklahoma-sooners">Oklahoma Sooners</a> last week, losing all the votes they received in the previous results. They face Kansas on Tuesday.</p>
