Fantasy football leagues still holding their playoffs will look for all the help they can get on this final Sunday of the regular season. The Denver Broncos and the San Diego Chargers offer several intriguing possibilities to help teams win their league championships.

QB

Philip Rivers, Chargers: This is a no-brainer. Rivers has been one of the top fantasy quarterbacks this season and was named as a backup on the AFC Pro Bowl team earlier in the week. In his previous game this season against the Broncos, Rivers threw for four touchdowns. Can he repeat that on the road this time?

Status: Start

Tim Tebow, Broncos: Tebow is riding high entering this match-up against one of the best statistical defenses in the league. His 308-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Texans is surely making owners consider him for a start this week. Ride the hot hand.

Status: Start

RB

Ryan Mathews, Chargers: Mike Tolbert is out this week, so Mathews will get the start. The Broncos still can't stop the run.

Status: Start

Knowshon Moreno, Broncos: Moreno has battled a rib injury the last two weeks, missing most of both games. One bad hit and he could be out of most of Sunday's contest.

Status: Sit

Correll Buckhalter, Broncos: Buckhalter picked up the slack when Moreno left the game and had a rushing and a receiving touchdown against the Texans. Interim coach Eric Studesville says he wants to play the hot hand, and that belongs to Buckhalter for the moment.

Status: Start at a flex position

WR

Vincent Jackson, Chargers: Two weeks ago, Jackson lit up fantasy scores when he caught three touchdown passes and had 112 receiving yards. Other than that, Jackson has been quiet in the games he has played (he served a suspension after signing his contract tender in October). The Broncos secondary is poor and Jackson has Rivers throwing the ball to him, potentially leading to a huge day.

Status: Start

Brandon Lloyd, Broncos: The quarterback switch to Tim Tebow has actually helped Lloyd, a Pro Bowl selection, over the last two weeks.

Status: Start

D/ST

The Chargers are a decent start if they can stop Tebow, but, as usual, stay far, far away from the Broncos. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

It's the final week of fantasy football and that means star players won't play too much if their teams are already locked into the playoffs. But what about a team such as the Denver Broncos? They have long been out of playoff contention, but need to know which players should be brought back for 2011.

Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow could have a good game following his 308-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Houston Texans. Against the Chargers, Tebow is projected by ESPN to have 22 points (293 yards, one passing TD, one rushing TD). That isn't totally out there, but Tebow will go up against a pass defense that has performed well for most of the season (however, they did allow 4 passing touchdowns last week to Carson Palmer).

Correll Buckhalter may be a good pick-up for the final week of play. Running back Knowshon Moreno has injured ribs and missed most of the last two games due to that injury. Buckhalter finally found himself when he took over for Moreno, recording a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown. Don't expect the world out of him, but he is currently the hot hand in the backfield.

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow had a solid start last Sunday against the Houston Texans, passing for 308 yards, throwing a touchdown pass and rushing for one as well. He put up 22 points for those who started him over the weekend. Will he be able to repeat that this weekend against the San Diego Chargers?

On Monday, Nov. 22, the Chargers won a home game against the Broncos, 35-14. Then-starting quarterback Kyle Orton passed for only 218 yards and had one touchdown and one interception. The Chargers have the No. 1 pass defense and the No. 2 rush defense this week, so it doesn't appear to be a good game for Tim Tebow.

However, Cincinnati's Carson Palmer shredded the Chargers for four touchdowns and 269 passing yards last Sunday. The Chargers could experience another letdown following the team's elimination from the playoffs. And, after all, Tebow will continue to want to demonstrate that he should be the Broncos' long-term quarterback.

Just like last week, Tebow is a risky play, but the rewards will be plentiful if he turns things up.

Owners should also downgrade Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno, who missed most of Sunday's game due to injured ribs. While he will likely be active on Sunday, Correll Buckhalter and Lance Ball are available options for interim coach Eric Studesville to use. Buckhalter had two touchdowns (one receiving, one rushing) against the Texans.
