One hundred sixty one games down, one more to go. The Colorado Rockies close out their 2010 season with Esmil Rogers on the mound, replacing the Jeff Francis. This will be the first test for Rogers in his quest to take a spot in the 2011 rotation. He's bounced around the between the rotation and the bullpen, and sooner or later the Rockies need to determine where he stays in the long term.

After today's games conclude, Carlos Gonzalez will officially win the National League batting title. What would be even better is the Rockies' offense scoring some runs and winning the last game of the season. This team has fallen flat on its face down the stretch and desperately needs a good end to this season.

Jeff Suppan opposes Rogers.
