The Colorado Rockies are starting a new three-game series as they head on the road to go up against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night. Unlike the Rockies, the Dodgers have something to play for. They are three games back of the second National League wild card spot, and their odds of earning that spot are slim.
The Rockies will try to stop the Dodgers playoff hopes as they send out Jeff Francis to the mound. Francis is just 5-6 on the year with an ERA of 5.54, and he will need to be on his game if he is going to get the win. He will be countered by Clayton Kershaw who is 12-9, but has an impressive ERA of 2.68.
