Jim Tracy is out as the Colorado Rockies manager and now the team must begin the search for a new one. Two names that have already emerged are in-house candidates, according to the Denver Post's Troy Renck:
Tom Runnells and Stu Cole are expected to be in house candidates.Giambi not for now bc still interested in playing

Runnells has served as the team's bench coach since May 2009 when he was brought up from managing the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox. He took over the role from Jim Tracy, who had been promoted to manager following Clint Hurdle's dismissal.
Stu Cole managed the Double-A Tulsa Drillers before moving up to the Sky Sox to fill the vacant spot left by Runnells' promotion.
Certainly the Rockies can do better than those two candidates and Rockies fans will want to see a wide net spread in the search. After all, we're not even a few hours into the Rockies' new future.
