Arizona Fall League 2012: Kent Matthes goes 2-for-3 in 3-3 tie

Two Colorado Rockies prospects played Tuesday for the Arizona Fall League's Salt River Rafters.

In Arizona Fall League action, the Salt River Rafters and the Phoenix Desert Dogs finished in an 11-inning 3-3 tie on Tuesday evening. Colorado Rockies prospect right fielder Kent Matthes had a big night offensively with two hits, including a double, two runs scored and two walks.

Fellow Rockies prospect outfielder Corey Dickerson went 0-for-3, but he drove in Matthes on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning and walked (one of eight be the team).

Salt River scored its other runs on Sean Ochinko's RBI single in the second inning, plating Matthes, and a Ryan Goins single in the sixth inning. Phoenix scored its runs on Yordy Cabrera's two-run home run off Chase Anderson in the second inning and Christian Yelich's single in the sixth (set up by Edward Salcedo's triple) off Deck McGuire.

The Rafters remain at 4-2 and in first place in the AFL East. They play the Peoria Javelinas on Wednesday at 1:35 p.m. MT.
