Following their loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves at home, the Denver Nuggets will get a chance to regroup with a weekend back-to-back starting on Saturday.
Every team in the Northwest is currently lagging far behind the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the Nuggets are the closest to them at 7.5 games behind. Past them, it's a close race with no team more than 1.5 games back of Denver. With several teams in action twice over the weekend and a couple of inter-division games, there's potential for some big shifting in the sands of the division -- at least, the sands between second and fifth place.
Here's this weekend's NBA lineup for teams around the Northwest Division:
Friday, Jan. 4
Trail Blazers at Grizzlies, 8 p.m. ET, Comcast Northwest
76ers at Thunder, 8 p.m. ET, Comcast Sports
Jazz at Suns, 9:30 p.m. ET, Root Sports
Saturday, Jan. 5
Trail Blazers at Timberwolves, 8 p.m. ET, Comcast Northwest
Jazz at Nuggets, 9 p.m. ET, Root Sports
Sunday, Jan. 6
Thunder at Raptors, 1 p.m. ET, Fox Sports Kansas
Nuggets at Lakers, 9:30 p.m. ET, Altitude 2
