The Denver Nuggets continue a five-game east coast road swing Sunday night when they face the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. MT, with television coverage on NBA TV.
The Knicks come into Sunday's game on little rest, having completed a week with three road games last night in Chicago. The Bulls defeated New York 93-85, marking the Knicks' first loss in December and ending a three-game winning streak that included a 20-point shellacking of Miami Thursday night. The Knicks currently lead the Eastern Conference with a 14-5 record, and are opening a string of eight games in New York City.
Denver (10-10) is third in the Northwest Division and seventh in the Western Conference after a Friday win over Indiana. The Nuggets are 3-5 in games against the Eastern Conference this season and 5-9 in road games. This is the first meeting of the season between Denver and New York. The Nuggets won their only game against the Knicks last season in overtime.
