After ending their three-game losing streak against the Toronto Raptors, the Denver Nuggets (9-9) will look to make it two wins in a row as they take on the Atlanta Hawks (9-5) in a nationally televised contest Wednesday night.
This is the first meeting between the two clubs this season. The Nuggets defeated the Hawks 118-117 in their only matchup last season on March 13, 2012. Nene Hilario led the team with 22 points while Ty Lawson chipped in 21 for the Nuggets.
With Joe Johnson off to the Brooklyn Nets, the Hawks have leaned on Josh Smith and Al Horford. The duo combine for 32 points and 18 rebounds for the game and will provide a formidable matchup problem for the Nuggets front court.
Hawks wing Kyle Korver missed practice Monday due to a sore back and he will be a gametime decision for tonight's game.
Game Time: Wednesday, Dec. 5; 6 p.m MT
Location: Phillips Arena; Atlanta, GA
