The Denver Nuggets' early struggles continue after they fell to the Orlando Magic, 102-89 in Orlando. Danilo Gallinari scored 23 points to pace the Nuggets but didn't get much help from anyone else. The Nuggets shot just 38 percent from the field and 27 percent from three. The Magic started the game hot, scoring 58 points in the first half to take a 21 point lead in to halftime.

The Nuggets appeared to find their offense in the third quarter, using 12 points from Galinari and six points from Andre Iguodala to cut the Magic lead from 21 to ten. The shots stopped falling in the fourth, as the Nuggets couldn't get the Magic lead under ten points. Former Nugget Arron Afflalo scored seven points and pulled down six rebounds in his first game against his former team.

Denver is now 0-2 on the season and travel to Miami, where they'll play the world champion Heat Saturday night.

While James Harden continues to light up the box score in Houston, his old team showed they can still put plenty of points on the board. The Oklahoma City Thunder used 32 points from Russell Westbrook and 23 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists from Kevin Durant to beat the Trailblazers, 106-92.

Minnesota finshed strong to finish off the visiting Sacramento Kings in the Timberwolves' season opener, 92-80. J.J. Barea came off the bench to lead the Wolves with 21 points and five assists.

The Utah Jazz let one slip away on the road as they lost to the New Orleans Hornets, 88-86. Greivis Vasquez scored with 1.3 seconds remaining to give the Hornets the win.
