The Denver Nuggets will get their second shot at the defending champion Miami Heat Thursday night, this time under the nationally televised spotlight of TNT.
Denver lost in Miami, 119-116, back on Nov. 3, where Chris Bosh's 40-point, seven rebound night and a late four-point play from new acquisition Ray Allen sunk the Nuggets, as the Heat outscored Denver by seven points in the fourth quarter.
The Heat are coming off a 107-100 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night in what was their second defeat in three games after getting stomped by the Memphis Grizzlies, 104-86, on Sunday night.
After winning four straight contests last week, the Nuggets dropped Monday's meeting with the Phoenix Suns, 110-100, to stop the streak. They remain undefeated at home, however, with a record of 2-0 at the Pepsi Center so far.
Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. MT, and the game can be seen as the second part of TNT's doubleheader, which begins with the Boston Celtics at Brooklyn Nets.
