The Northern Colorado Bears will play the final game of their non-conference schedule on Monday when they face the Tabor College Blue Jays at Butler-Hancock Hall. The Bears have stumbled to a 1-6 start, with their only win coming in the season opener over Southwest.
The Bears haven't played in about a week and a half, losing, 80-54, to the 24th-ranked Wichita St. Shockers. Tevin Svihovec leads the team in scoring with over 12 points per game, and Derrick Barden is putting up 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. The Bears are shooting over 45 percent from the floor as a team, which puts them in the top 100 in the nation.
Northern Colorado opens up Big Sky conference play on the road against North Dakota on Friday. The Bears don't host a conference game until Jan. 10, when they host the Montana St. Bobcats.
Tipoff from Butler-Hancock Hall is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. MT on Monday night.
