The Northern Colorado Bears and North Dakota, playing in its first year as a Big Sky Conference member, take the field on Saturday for their season finales. Neither team is in playoff contention, but both are hoping to end their season on a high note.

North Dakota is playing it's first season as a member of the Big Sky. The team is 5-5 through their first ten games, and is aiming for a winning season in their first full season of Division I FCS eligibility.

The team is led by quarterback Braden Hanson, who transferred to UND from North Carolina. Hanson has set single-season school records for passing yards (2,886) and passing touchdowns (27). If the team continues pace in their final game, they will become the first North Dakota football team to throw the ball more than they run.

The Bears are only 4-6 this season, but won three out of their last four games. Northern Colorado has already made improvements over last seasons 0-11 campaign, and the players want to change the perspective about the team.
