Four Montana scorers reached double-figures as the Grizzlies defeated the Eastern Washington Eagles 74-66 to advance to the championship game of the Big Sky Tournament. Montana will meet Weber St., who defeated Portland St. 69-63 earlier this evening. The win pushes Montana to 24-6 overall and 15-1 in the Big Sky, while the Eagles will end their season 15-17, 8-8.
Forward Mathias Ward finished with 10 points and seven rebounds to help lift Montana to victory. Kareem Jamar had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Guard Will Cherry contributed 16 points, and Derek Selviq scored 12 in the win for Montana.
Cliff Colimon carried Eastern Washington, finishing with 27 points in the loss. Teammate Laron Griffin had 15 points and 14 rebounds.
