Big Sky Tournament: Weber St. Defeats Portland St. To Advance To Title Game

The Portland State Vikings took a five point lead into halftime on Tuesday against the heavily favored Weber State Wildcats in the semifinals of the Big Sky Tournament, but a big second half for Weber State fueled a 69-63 comeback victory to push the Wildcats to the conference championship game. The victory lifts Weber State to 24-5, while Portland State falls to 17-14. The Wildcats will meet the winner of top seeded Montana vs. No. 4 Eastern Washington.

Weber State guard Damian Lillard is beginning to game national acclaim for his fantastic junior season, and the Wildcats' star came to play tonight. Lillard scored a team-high 22 points on 6-of-14 shooting and added four assists. Gelaun Wheelwright added 15 points on 6-of-19 shooting for Weber St. in the win.

Charles Odum scored 24 points in the loss for the Vikings.
