The Northern Colorado Bears handed the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks their ninth straight loss in a thrilling 64-62 overtime victory on Tuesday night. Tevin Svihovec (11 points) was the hero for Bears. Svihovec hit a layup to tie the game late in regulation, and made another one late in overtime to secure victory for the Bears.
Big man Emmanuel Addo came off the bench to score a team-high 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting to help fuel the victory for the Bears. Teammate Tate Unruh added 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting for Northern Colorado.
Northern Arizona was led by James Douglas, who scored 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting and added five assists and six rebounds.
The win snaps a four-game losing streak for Northern Colorado, and moves them to 7-13 overall, 4-5 in the Big Sky.
