Furniture Row Racing's Regan Smith is back on the racecourse this weekend after finishing in 24th place at the 2012 Daytona 500. He will be in starting position No. 3 in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Speedway in Avondale, Ariz.

Smith almost captured his first pole, sitting in that position as the final drivers finished. However, Mark Martin snatched it away from him and will be at the pole when the race starts on Saturday afternoon.

Last year, Smith started in the fifth slot and finished the race in 34th place, completing just 213 laps. Can he improve on that result this season?

Weather is not expected to be an issue for this race, as temperatures in the 80s and clear skies are expected.
