The Denver Pioneers sit at No. 10 overall in the nation with a record of 15-9-5 on the year. Just a few games remain in the regular season, and they now face another huge opportunity to continue their climb up the rankings with a weekend series against No. 6 North Dakota.
Magness Arena in Denver plays host to the top 10 matchup on Friday and Saturday night. The Pioneers faced the Fighting Sioux in Grand Forks, N.D., back in December, tying in the first game and losing the second, 6-3. Here's a shot at redemption for Denver.
North Dakota comes to town riding a three-game win streak. If the Pioneers can pull off a sweep, you can certainly expect another jump in the rankings. The puck drops at 8:05 p.m. MT tonight in Denver.
Colorado College has a two-game matchup with No. 7 St. Cloud State. The Tigers went to overtime in their last three games, so we'll see if that strenuous streak continues. Air Force is set for a two-game road series with RIT on Friday and Saturday as well. The Falcons are 3-1 since Feb. 8.
