2012 ECAC Lacrosse Tournament: Ohio State Falls To Fairfield In Semifinal Matchup

In the 2012 ECAC Tournament Semifinal Round at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium in Denver, Colo., the No. 2-seed Ohio St. Buckeyes lost to the No. 3-seed Fairfield Stags by a score of 8-7. The Buckeyes fell behind 5-1 in the first quarter, but they rallied back to tie the game at seven before Sam Snow tossed in the clinching goal for Fairfield with under three minutes remaining in the game. Fairfield will take on top-seeded Loyola on Friday for an automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile, Ohio State is left wait-and-see if they receive an at-large bid when the field is announced on Sunday night.
