2012 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament, UNC Vs. Denver Score Update: Pioneers Take 13-12 Lead Into Final Quarter

After losing the lead in this 2012 NCAA Tournament game, the Denver Pioneers hold a 13-12 lead over the North Carolina Tar Heels after the conclusion of the third period. Jeremy Noble's third goal of the game put the team in the lead at 3:39 of the quarter. Goalie Ryan LaPlante came up with a huge save in the final seconds to preserve the lead.

Mark Matthews increased his goal total to four for the game while Noble and Wes Berg joined the hat trick club for this game. UNC's Marcus Holman picked up his sixth goal of the game, but none of his teammates have been able to score more than one goal.

UNC goalie Steven Rastivo now has 11 saves entering the final quarter of play.
