After losing Drew Shore to the Florida Panthers and Jason Zucker to the Minnesota Wild, the Denver Pioneers have experienced yet another defection to the National Hockey League. Sophomore forward Beau Bennett has decided to leave school and sign with the Pittsburgh Penguins, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie. The Penguins drafted Bennett with the 20th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft.
↵Bennett followed a 25-point freshman season with a lost sophomore season. He played in just 10 games, scored four goals and totaled 13 points due to a wrist injury.
