NCAA Lacrosse Rankings 2012: Denver Falls Again After Two Wins

The Denver Pioneers were able to atone for their opening game loss to Ohio State with wins over Michigan and Robert Morris this weekend, but the pollsters apparently didn't feel it was quite enough as they fell in both of the national polls. Neither the Wolverines or the Colonials were ranked, but both wins were blowouts, with the Pioneers taking down Michigan, 17-5 and Robert Morris, 21-8.

In the Nike Media Poll Denver fell from 11 to 12 and in the USILA Coaches Poll they fell two spots from 12 to 14. Ohio State, still the Pioneers only loss this year, fell in both polls (No. 16/17) after a 9-3 loss to No. 7/6 ranked Massachusetts. ECAC conference-mate Loyola stayed undefeated with a win over Towson and moved up to No. 14 and 11.

The Pioneers take on the 0-2 Hartford Hawks this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
