North Texas Vs. Denver: Pioneers Roll Into Halftime With 27-20 Lead

The Denver Pioneers are 20 minutes away from closing out its regular season schedule in the Sun Belt with a win. At halftime, the Pioneers hold a 27-20 lead over the North Texas Mean Green. A victory gives the Pioneers the No. 3 seed in the upcoming 2012 Sun Belt Tournament.

Brian Stafford leads the Pioneers with eight points. Royce O'Neale, who had 21 points off the bench against North Texas earlier in the season, has filled out the stats sheet with seven points, five steals and four rebounds. Chris Udofia has six points and two blocks.

North Texas holds a slight shooting advantage, 32 percent to 31, but they have yet to go to the free throw line. Ten turnovers have also hurt the Mean Green. They do hold a 23-15 rebounding advantage, as well.
