Denver Vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Score Update: Pioneers Up 39-17 At The Half

The Denver Pioneers have had little trouble with Louisiana-Lafayette so far Thursday night and take a 39-17 lead into the break. Not surprisingly, the primary reason for that is field goal shooting. Denver hit 16-of-28 (57.1%) shots in the period, including 5-of-13 (38.5%) from beyond the arc.

The Ragin' Cajuns, on the other hand, were ice cold and shot just 23.1% from the field. Louisiana-Lafayette also turned the ball over 11 times, compared to seven turnovers for Denver. While the Ragin' Cajins did have a slight rebounding edge in the first half, that wasn't nearly enough to keep them competitive in the face of their aforementioned problems at the offensive end.

Justin Coughlin leads Denver with 14 points.
