VIDEO: Kyle Rau Delivers Hit On Jason Zucker In Minnesota Vs. Denver

The Denver Pioneers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers faced each other at Magness Arena in Denver on Friday night, and during the second period the Gopher's Kyle Rau delivered a monstrous blow on Denver's Jason Zucker. It sent Zucker out of the remainder of the game.

Rau puts his stick in the air and winds up hitting Zucker in the head, or at least in the upper body area, sending the Pioneer into the glass right by his own bench. Zucker then goes to the ground and is on his stomach for quite some time. Eventually, Zucker was turned over, had his neck stabilized and then finally sat up. After a bit more time, Zucker stood up and walked off the ice to his locker room with the help of team trainers.

Rau was first sent to the penalty box, but he was sent off for the rest of the game with a five minute major. He could possibly face a suspension as a result of this play.

Zucker entered the game second on the Pioneers with 14 goals and 33 points.
