After a difficult start to the season, the Denver Pioneers have won three of their last four games as they visit the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday. Those recent wins came on the back of hot shooting by Denver, something the Pioneers will need to keep up if they hope to defeat the Bulldogs. The game marks the opening of WAC play for the Pioneers. This is Denver's first season as member of the conference.
The Bulldogs enter the game with a 9-3 record, good for first in the WAC. However, two of those three losses have come within Louisiana Tech's last four games.
The Pioneers will be led by Royce O`Neale and Chris Udofia. O`Neale is averaging 14.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Udofia is averaging 12.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest.
The Bulldogs are led by second-year guard Raheem Appleby, who is currently averaging 17.8 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field.
