The Denver Pioneers have struggled so far in their 2012 basketball campaign, but they'll have a chance to right the ship a bit when they face a similarly struggling Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Friday.
Both the Pios and the Thunderbirds enter Friday's game with 3-6 records, but the Pioneers will have the home advantage. Denver has done far better on their home court at Magness Arena than off it this season and will be looking for their third-straight victory at Magness.
Denver lost their last game against the undefeated Wyoming Cowboys, 71-61. Friday's game will be the final non-conference game of the season for the Pioneers -- Southern Utah has already started conference play with a 1-0 record in the Big Sky Conference. SUU has taken the last two meetings between the two teams, both of those games coming in 2006.
The game will be at Magness Arena at 4 p.m. MT.
