The Pioneers travel to take on the Cardinal in the Bay Area on Sunday.

Andrew Fielding-US PRESSWIRE

The Denver Pioneers (1-4) resume their non-conference schedule when they visit the Stanford Cardinal (5-3) on Sunday afternoon.

Stanford will be the second Pac-12 opponent for Denver so far this season. California beat the Pioneers 72-61 on Nov. 16 in Denver.

Sophomore forward Royce O'Neale leads Denver with 13.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Forward Chris Udofia adds additional help from the front court for the Pioneers with 12 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

The Cardinal have yet to score a signature win this season with losses coming to No. 16 Missouri, Minnesota and Belmont. Sophomore guard Chasson Randle leads the attack for Stanford with 15.4 points and three assists per game. Junior forward Dwight Powell adds 12.4 points and seven rebounds for Stanford and at 6'10 should cause the Pioneers problems around the hoop.

The game is scheduled to tip off on Sunday at 3 p.m. MT and will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
