The Denver Pioneers women's soccer team won a share of the Western Athletic Conference regular season title when the Pioneers defeated Seattle University, 2-0.
Denver lost just one game this season, going 14-1-4 en route to the share of the WAC championship.
Denver shared the regular season title with the Utah St. Aggies, who are the No. 1 seed headed into the WAC title. Both Denver and Utah St. have earned first-round byes in the WAC tournament.
Kristen Hamilton led Denver in scoring in the regular season, scoring 13 goals while notching five assists in Denver's 19 games. Kaitlin Beat was second on Denver in points, with 25. Beat scored nine goals and had seven assists.
Both Denver and Utah St. will be battling for a spot in the NCAA tournament. Still, the two WAC schools must focus on the WAC tournament first.
Denver's first WAC tournament game will be held next Friday, when the Pioneers take on the winner of the Texas St.-Idaho match.
