Denver's Sam Brittain and Air Force's Jason Torf have been named two of the top ten goalies to watch in the NCAA this year by USCHO.com.
Brittain, a 2010 draft pick of the Florida Panthers, played in just 12 games last season due to a pre-season knee injury. Brittain went 8-4 with a 2.36 goals-against average before being eliminated from the NCAA tournament by national finalist Ferris State. In his rookie season with Denver, Brittain was 19-9-5 in 33 games with a 2.28 goals against average
Torf went 8-5-2 with a 1.73 goals-against average and five shutouts in 2011-12, while also missing time with a groin injury. Torf is 24-15-5 with seven shutouts in his two seasons with Air Force. Air Force was eliminated by Boston College in the NCAA Northeast Regional in 2011-12.
Torf is ranked sixth and Brittain fifth in the USCHO's list of goalies to watch during the 2012-13 college hockey season.
Parker Milner of Boston College was ranked first.
