The Denver Pioneers (15-5, 5-2) are coming off a tough overtime road loss against the North Texas Mean Green, but look to bounce back against the Arkansas State Red Wolves (9-12, 3-4) at home on Thursday night. The Pioneers are an impressive 9-2 at home this season, while the Red Wolves have struggled on the road and are just 2-7 away from home.
Arkansas State has three players averaging in double figures for scoring this season: guards Marcus Hooten (12.1 points per game) and Trey Finn (10.3) lead the attack from the perimeter, while senior forward Malcoln Kirkland (11.9) is their presence in the paint. Denver won the first matchup between these teams back on January 5th, when Chris Udofia scored 14 points and Brian Stafford hit the go-ahead basket with less than two minutes remaining in the game.
