Denver Pioneers' Beau Bennett Has Wrist Surgery, Will Miss Up To Two Months

Though the Denver Pioneers picked up a 3-2 victory over the Bemidji State Beavers, the team received some bad news about forward Beau Bennett. He will miss six to eight weeks after undergoing wrist surgery on Thursday, reports the Denver Post.

Bennett had missed time earlier in the season due to his wrist problems, but he had managed to score four goals and assist on nine goals (13 points) in 10 games. He managed a a +3 over that span.

This surgery puts him on a timetable to return sometime in February. Unless he comes back at the start of February, Bennett is likely to miss the finale of the Battle for the Gold Pan against the Colorado College Tigers. But he should be back in time for the WCHA playoffs and another shot at the NCAA Tournament and the Frozen Four.
