The Colorado College Tigers didn't let last week's 5-4 loss to the Denver Pioneers haunt them this week against the Wisconsin Badgers. They picked up a 4-2 victory over the woodland critters. Nick Dineen was the third star of the game for the Tigers, scoring the first goal and the game-winning goal. He scored the first goal on a power play nearly halfway through the first period. He scored the game-winner in the second period at 15:16, putting the Tigers up at the time, 3-1. Dineen now has six goals on the season.
Dakota Eveland scored the second Tigers goal on the penalty kill late in the period, but Wisconsin's Brendan Woods answered back with a goal while 1:12 remained on the clock in the first period. Keegan Meuer brought the game to within one at 12:01 in the third period with his third goal of the season. However, Jaden Schwartz scored 1:38 after Meuer did to give the Tigers a bit of breathing room
Tigers goalie Josh Thorimbert made the start and stopped 31 of 33 shots, improving to 2-1-0. Thorimbert was the first start of the game while Eveland was the No. 2 star.
The Tigers improved to 6-2-0 and will finish the series on Saturday night.
