NCAA Hockey Scores: Colorado College's Rylan Schwartz Scores Twice In 4-1 Victory

The Denver Pioneers' shocking 7-2 loss to the Michigan Tech Huskies on Friday could be the Colorado College Tigers' gain in the next polls. The Tigers are currently No. 3 behind the No. 2 Pioneers, but the Tigers could move up if they complete the sweep of RPI on Saturday. They won, 4-1, on Friday night.

Rylan Schwartz led the Tigers' offensive attack with two goals. He scored at 4:10 in the first period and then had the game winning power play goal at 19:46 in the second period. Scott Winkler had the assist in the first goal, while Rylan's brother, Jaden, and Gabe Guentzel helped on the second one. Rylan Schwartz now has five goals on the season.

RPI put a goal on the board 10 seconds after Rylan's goal when Patrick Cullen netted his first goal of the season. That proved to be the only goal Joe Howe allowed, making 23 saves on 24 shots. Mike Boivin and William Rapuzzi added two goals in the final 30 seconds of the game.

The Tigers and the Engineers finish this series on Saturday night at 5:00 p.m. MT.
