Air Force Falcons Hockey Faces Alabama-Hunstville

The Air Force Falcons are back on the road this weekend with a two-game series with the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers, the only independent college hockey team on the Division I level. The Falcons enter this series on a two-game win streak after defeating Niagara, 3-2 OT, and downing Robert Morris, 4-2. However, the victories did not come quite that easily. Sophomore goalie Jason Torf suffered a strained groin earlier last week and missed both games.

Kyle DeLaurell leads the Falcons with three goals and two assists through four games while Cole Gunner has five assists. Stephen Caple will guard the net after going 2-0 last week with a 1.97 GAA. He made 39 saves on 44 shots.

Alabama-Huntsville is 0-6-0 this season after losses to Lake Superior State, Western Michigan and Bowling Green. Mac Roy leads the team with two goals and one assist.

It is Military Appreciation Week in Huntsville and the pucks drops at 6:05 p.m. MT on each of the next two days.
