Air Force Hockey: Falcons Defeat Niagara In Overtime, 3-2

The Air Force Falcons battled back from a 2-0 deficit against the Niagara Purple Eagles to pull out a 3-2 overtime victory on Friday night. Kyle DeLaurell scored at 1:50 into extra time for the Falcons' first victory of the season. It was his second goal of the game. Assists went to Chad Demers and Cole Gunner.

Niagara scored two goals inside the first four minutes of the first period. Isaac Kohls netted the first at 2:22 and Ryan Rashid followed at 3:54. However, Kyle DeLaurell answered at 8:19 to narrow the gap. Cole Gunner and George Michalke picked up assists on the play. Brad McBride and Ryan Timar teamed up for the Falcons' second goal, the former putting it in between the pipes at 7:13 in the second period.

After a scoreless third, DeLaurell ended the game early in overtime. The Falcons will take Saturday off before they play Robert Morris on Sunday.
