Team USA defeated Argentina, 109-83 in the semifinals of the 2012 Olympic Basketball tournament on Friday afternoon, potentially allowing Andre Iguodala, the newest member of the Denver Nuggets, to arrive in the Mile High City with a gold medal. Team USA will play in the gold medal game against Spain on Sunday.
After playing a somewhat close first half with a 47-40 lead as they entered the locker room, Team USA dominated the second half, scoring 62 points to Argentina's 43. Iguodala played a bit role in the game, scoring two points and made one assist.
Kevin Durant led the way with 19 points while former Nugget Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James each put in 18 points. Kevin Love led the team with nine rebounds, helping the team to a 40-23 advantage.
Manu Ginobili led Argentina with 18 points and was followed by Carlos Delfino and Luis Scola, who each scored 15 points.
