Denver Nuggets free agent guard Rudy Fernandez is leaving Denver and the NBA altogether -- he's agreed to a three-year deal with Real Madrid, which gives him the return to Spain he'd been looking for.
Fernandez is going to announce Wednesday he has inked a deal with Real Madrid, according to reports within the Spanish press.

Fernandez announced the news via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
In his lone season with Denver, Fernandez played in 31 contests and averaged 8.6 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game. Prior to coming to the Nuggets, Fernandez spent three seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, mostly as a reserve. Fernandez has played in a total of 249 NBA games.
