Nuggets Sign JaVale McGee, Reportedly For 4 Years, $44 Million

The Denver Nuggets are retaining their biggest free agent, figuratively and literally. Denver reached a four-year, $44 million agreement with center JaVale McGee, who was acquired in a trade for Nene from the Washington Wizards in the middle of last season. McGee, a 24-year old 7-footer, averaged 11.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game while posting a 19.90 PER last season.

The Nuggets were in need of a big man after using the amnesty clause on Chris Anderson on Tuesday. McGee shined in Game 5 of the Nuggets' first round playoff series vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, putting up 21 points and 14 rebounds in a 102-99 victory.
