Aside from reaching a verbal agreement to re-sign back up point guard Andre Mille for $12 million across three years, the Denver Nuggets have been quiet in fre agency so far this offseason. That soon may change, as Sam Amick of SI.com reported late Tuesday night that talks between JaVale McGee and the Nuggets were moving forward to the point that McGee's return to Denver is likely inevitable.
Source says Denver's talks w/ restricted free agent C JaVale McGee are progressing and all signs point to his Nuggets tenure continuing.

The question with McGee is not necessarily whether or not he should be brought back— he has enough potential to warrant some sort of investment. But it will be interesting to see at what price the Nuggets are willing to do so, as McGee's immaturity means that any serious long-term investment would be fraught with risk.
In 20 games with Denver last season, McGee averaged 10.3 points and 5.8 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game. But he had a few breakout games in Denver's first round series vs. the Los Angels Lakers, tallying 14-plus rebounds in three games while scoring 16-plus points in two of those.
