2012 NBA Mock Draft: David Aldridge Sees Perry Jones III Falling To Denver

Once considered a potential top-5 selection, Baylor forward Perry Jones III falls to the Denver Nuggets with the 20th overall pick in Wednesday's mock draft from David Aldridge of NBA.com. A major athlete that never dominated in college like his talent would suggest, Jones is admittedly quite intriguing:

With the caveat that the Nuggets could well be making this pick for someone else -- Denver's rotation is already filled to the gills, two deep at every position -- Jones comes off the board. He's a wildly talented player way too inconsistent to go earlier.

We haven't heard any concrete rumors about the Nuggets trading the No. 20 pick, but Aldridge floats the idea here and it doesn't seem especially wild. And you have to imagine that they'd be happy getting Jones III, someone with legitimate star potential, if they hang onto the selection.
