2012 NBA Mock Draft: Andrew Nicholson To Denver In SB Nation Team Bloggers Mock

This weekend, Nate Timmons of SB Nation Denver Nuggets blog Denver Stiffs got to control the Nuggets' draft when the SB Nation team NBA bloggers got together to stage a mock draft. With the pick, Timmons picked St. Bonaventure power forward Andrew Nicholson, a sure-fire first rounder who was one of the best players in college basketball last season.

Here's Timmons on the rationale behind the pick:

Denver is in need of a stretch big man and Nicholson's game fits in perfectly. The youth movement continues for the Nuggets and the deep team fills a need to play next to Kenneth Faried and JaVale McGee. And Al Harrington gets a chance to teach his clone.

Although Denver has a young frontcourt that goes two deep at both positions, the idea of Denver picking a "stretch four" to eventually replace Harrington has been a popular one in recent mock drafts.
