The Sacramento Kings are seriously considering drafting Weber State point guard Damian Lillard with the fifth overall pick in next week's NBA Draft after he impressed team officials during workouts, as Steve Kyler of HoopsWorld reports.
Lillard generally isn't considered one of the five best talents in this year's draft, but he's been moving up draft boards all year.
Hearing Damian Lillard crushed in Sacramento, and while they need another guard like a hole in the head, they are strongly considering him

At the moment, the Kings already have numerous players in their backcourt, including Tyreke Evans, Marcus Thornton, Isaiah Thomas and last year's first round pick, Jimmer Fredette. One has to imagine that Sacramento would pursue a trade for at least one of aforementioned players if Lillard is ultimately the selection.
