The Toronto Raptors hold the No. 8 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and have been linked to Syracuse guard Dion Waiters on ESPN over the last few weeks, but Weber State point guard Damian Lillard is their man in Chad Ford's NBA Mock Draft 8.0. Ford has Waiters flying off the board at No. 7 to the Golden State Warriors, so Lillard is the next-in-line as a potentially dynamic backcourt scorer, ahead of guys like Austin Rivers (No. 10) and Jeremy Lamb (No. 11).
The other top PG prospect in the draft, Kendall Marshall, drops all the way to Dallas Mavericks at No. 17 due to concerns about how his lack of elite athleticism will impact his ability to produce in the NBA.
